Police hunt for Kazembe’s ‘Hitman’

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is hunting for Minister Kazembe Kazembe’s “hitman” Isheanesu Chief Saunyama Dzimbiti who allegedly threatened freelance Journalist Simbarashe Sithole with future violence over corruption cases reported in Kazembe’s constituency by the Journalist.

Sources close to investigations told this publication that they have finished their investigations and they are hunting for suspect.

“We have completed our investigations and we are hunting for the suspect since we do not know where he stays, but we last heard that he was in Matepatepa,” the police said.

They also appealed for information which can lead to the arrest of Dzimbiti.

Sithole is an investigative journalist who is well-known for exposing corruption by top officials in Government, private sector and non state actors.

This case is being closely monitored by Media Institute for Southern Africa ( MISA) and Committee Protection for Journalist (CPJ)
